Interests:
Ohhh I hate those long lists... a basic snapshot would be... going to the gym...swimming, walking through windswept countryside, tramping across isolated foreign parts to look at some obscure
archaeological site.... genetics, neuroscience, physics and lots of stuff,........ especially playing.
Favourite TV-Shows:
Dr Who Strictly Come Dancing
Dexter Chuck
Heroes
House
This list looks really bad....I don't watch that much tv! In fact I love sky+.
Favourite Books and Reading:
One of my favourite authors Kate Atkinson. I have just completed her most recent book When Will
There Be Good News. Brilliant book and as always the way she winds all the stories and characters together in their own personal psychological interplay, mmm delicious. Kate also has the skill of
leaving that final twist of uncertainty, its intriguing and keeps you reading.
I also love: Norman Mailer 'The Castle in the Forest' and Elizabeth Kostova 'The Historian'
I have been reading Gilgamesh and the early creation stories. Started Principa Mathematica....mmm Bertrund Russell...like his mind....His mind in Brad Pitt? Perfect Male?
I am revisiting Penrose....I JUST ADORE Penrose.
Favourite music:
Just about everything. See my
playlist.
Favourite drink:
No comment (lol...I keep getting told off for no comment....so water...lol)
Favourite meal:
I am a platypus so ...ermmm fish. (I am quite an adventurous platypus so most things
really)
Favourite countries for traveling:
Anything European, historical and archaeological. My celtic soul loves the sea, but it has to be a windswept, rugged coastline (prefably with rock pools and the chance of finding
fossils).
Favourite quotes:
- "Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts." (Sign hanging in Einstein's office at Princeton)
- "In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move." Douglas Adams (1952—2001)
- "Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing." Werner von Braun
